Staying Power
There is a sense of pride that accompanies building a successful business. There are also deep emotions that accompany that pride when we think about staying power.
The Seven Wonders of the World are the epitome of staying power.
The original Seven Wonders included: The Great Pyramids of Giza, The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, The Temple of Artemis and Ephesus, The Statue of Zeus at the Olympics, The Mausoleum Halicarnassus, The Colossus of Rhodes, and the Lighthouse of Alexander.
Unfortunately, over the centuries, fires and earthquakes destroyed all but one. Given that durability and longevity are values to honor and to which we all aspire, the New7Wonders Foundation, with input from a world-wide audience, announced a new list of Seven Wonders to the world on July 7, 2007.
Included were: The Great Wall of China (China), Machu Pichu (Peru), Petra (Jordan), the Taj Mahal (India), the Colosseum (Italy), Chichen Itza (Mexico), and Christ the Redeemer (Brazil). An incredible group of ancient and modern structures chosen for their historical, cultural, and architectural significance.
